Sometimes it's all you can do to count your blessings

Sometimes it's hard to feel like you fit in even where you are "supposed" to. I am learning more and more that my happiness can only come from me and that I can't expect for others to "understand me" or "get where I'm coming from" or want to be around me or especially for them to agree with me! It's strange how so many lessons we get to learn over and over again still need to be learned over and over again.

So...instead of feeling like "nobody gets me" or even wants to....today I'm stepping outside of myself and counting my blessings, here are a few of the many:

My wonderful Husband:

Our beautiful daughter:

Our family's:

Last but certainly not least, the Gospel and our Savior Jesus Christ, I am so grateful for the blessings we receive for living as we are best able to. What a great gift it is to know that we are part of an eternal family and that we can be "whole" even in spite of ourselves.

That's what's been on my mind lately, so here I am blogging about it (Even if nobody is really reading) :)

Those are wonderful things to be greatful for. I too am greatful for our wonderful family! I really hope I get to see you while I am up at dad's house. I should be there for a while month, if he will let me stay that long. Well I hope all is well with you and I hope you have a wonderful day. Love you Heather.

I know you aren't writing about in-laws, but that was the first thing that came to mind when I read your post. Not that you have ever eluded to that, but I can't help but think about what it was like when we lived so close to in-laws, and not so close to grannis's. I felt like trying to fit in was like moving huge over-sized concrete blocks. Now I just don't worry about it. I say what I think, then I just try to find things to do for them. When they are just down right wierd (not that yours are, but most are!), I just laugh it off. What do ya do?! Remember, that it was the pharasies that 'fit in'... lol.
